When the T2C shipped we loaded the same graphics both remotes and the T2C just smoked the T3. It had much better contrast, seemed almost like better color depth/rendering, and I've *always* been able to see subtle horizontal black lines between the rows.

The T3 wasn't horrible, but the T2C and killed it graphically.... that's all I've been ordering.

Anyway, just ordered a T3 for guy with questionable eyesight, loaded it up and the screen is twice as sharp & bright as I remember. No horizontal lines.

I'm sure this isn't my imagination. Took the new T3 to customers house with an older T3... night & day!

Has there been a running change in the screen RTI is using?

i really hope so, thats the main reason i stick to T2-C's now.....

i have one on order for pickup at the end of the week, I will def. check this out!

I will add that one i picked up about 2 weeks ago was not the "newer" version, it still had the same screen, but the elderly customer needed the big screen.... Oh, and that one had the little green sticker on it, "RoHS"....

I will keep my hopes up for the next one....

screen improvements would be cool...

The main reason the T2C screen looks better is that it has the same pixel resolution as the T2C in a smaller footprint resulting in better light density and definition.

If the T3 were to look like that as well we would have to resize (increase) all of our graphics to look the same size on the increased resolution screen. This would be helpful for channel icons, text rendering and detailed graphics.

The screen improvement I'm talking about isn't resolution, but contrast, color brightness and lack of an obvious pixel structure.

We use exactly the same graphics on both as the screens are both 240x320.

The buttons *are* smaller on the T2C, but still very workable. And yes it's still better overall just due to packing the same pixels in a smaller screen, but the T3 I have in my hand is much better than what we used before.
