The client is done waiting for the RK keypads that we spec'd in his system two months ago to control his theater lighting. As of now, he has to find his T2C in the dark... I just spoke with Brett ten minutes ago and he is now giving a possible mid-July timeframe. Anyone know of something that will work in place without having to connect to another processor or break-out box? I've considered the BK CK1.1, but it is a little much for only needing 4 buttons. It also needs to be single-gang and preferably black to match his fabric treatments.
TIA

quick question. is the main interface for lighting in the room supposed to be the rk? there is no lighting control interface? dependent on rti processor for all lighting in room sounds risky, but nevertheless.
you could use a xantech ir keypad wire it into the ir input of rp6
program your codes into t2c and make those buttons use ir trigger codes instead of rf
program xantech keypad and learn the trigger codes from t2c to corresponding buttons on keypad.
if your lighting control system has ir input capabilities you might be able to just use the xantech keypad by itself and not worry about tying it in to rp6

I have 11 RK1-8's on order. My rep says they think they might see them on the 15th. Even if they do, without thatertouch 5.0x, that dosen't mean .

if your lighting control system has ir input capabilities you might be able to just use the xantech keypad by itself and not worry about tying it in to rp6 Lutron Grafik Eye All I need are four simple buttons to send four IR codes via cat5e to either emitters directly on the GEs, or through the RP6 passthrough to the GEs. I have a page on the T2C for the theater lighting, but the client has to leave the remote outside of the theater in order to turn on the lights so he doesn't have to hunt for it in the dark. The Xantech keypad that my distributor carries says that it is a dry contact closure type and needs its own processor to store IR codes. I'm not familiar with Xantech anymore (been 6 or 7 years since I worked with them) and I don't want to sell more product to the client than we have already quoted him. The salesman and I are trying to smooth the client over and convince him that the RKs are worth waiting for. Thanks everyone!

I was just there at their will-call counter yesterday and they never mentioned that....and don't think I didn't ask about keypads! Maybe they meant RK3?

Talked to RTI today. The dude expects A**D to have them Early July. Along with the M2 and RK2. We'll see.
I asked about next version of TTD. He said it will be ready when they ship.

Just get the Slave switch that Lutron makes...
I don't have the model number handy, but it wires directly to the Grafix eye. BULLETPROOF.

andym nailed it. i did not not know you had lutron. definately way to go. if all you were using the rk1 for was lighting i would still do it this way. i dont use the xantech line but thought that they could generate their own codes ready to send to a connecting block

Something like this would be perfect (probably what AndyM was referring to): [Link: lutron.com]or this for more scene selections: [Link: lutron.com]Both fit a single gang box and come in black. Dino

That's what I had in mind. It comes in all the normal colors (Ivory,White,Almond,Black). Don't take this the wrong way, but that is what you should have been using in the first place. ;-) P.S. Somewhere along the line, in the paper work for that switch, it says that you have to use their "4wire"... Cat5 has worked for us everytime, so don't worry about that part.

The only reason for the special Lutron 4-wire is the 600 volt rating. Since it's going in the same box as the Graphic Eye, it needs to be high-voltage rated - if you want to stay in code.
I've used plenty of the "entrance controls". Works like a champ. Looks great, too.
