I was suprised that the white/blue screen is not really bright white, but a little tad grey and the blue not a bright blue (could something be wrong with mine - seems brighter on the remotecentral review)? Also, there was already a configuration loaded into the T2? Is this normal (just making sure I got a NEW one)? Other than that, still working on programming......

Don't think you need to worry. Under daylight conditions, the white and blue will not seem as bright. Try it at night time, and you will find that the colors very closely resemble the pictures in the review.

Mine came with a default config as well, I assume as an example. Not sure if it contained any IR/RF codes, I wiped it out without a thought. I suppose you could have downloaded the default config into the software, and checked it out.

I suppose it's there just so you can tell it works. Perhaps the remote NEEDS one to operate.

All the remotes we have recieved have the same program in it. I would assume that is how they test the remotes at the factory to make sure everything works.

Thanks for the info. This is the finest remote I have ever used. It was very simple to setup and integrate into the rest of my system. I actually use a HomeVision automation controller for most of my HT complicated macros/sensing, etc. The IR range is very impressive and works well in my setup. In about 4 hours, I was able to completly get everything setup. After having LCD based remotes, I love having the cursor controls back! This TRULY replaces my other remotes and is the ONLY one sitting on the coffee table.

I did download the example before wiping it out. One trick that I got from the factory program was that they used the POWER button to go to a page with all the various power options. Didn't think about that until I saw the example..... SJ
