Here's my situation so far with my troubles:
Sony Wega 36" TV

IR learning worked fine. Works with the TV. GREAT!
Samsung VCR
---------------------
IR learning worked fine. Programmed in play, stop, FF, REW, and power. All work except the power.
Theta Digital Casanova preamp/processor
-------------------------------------------
IR learning worked fine. Flat out doesn't talk to the Theta however. Hmmmmm.
General Intruments XRC 100 Cable box remote (RCN of New England)

IR learning extremely tough, but seemed to get it eventually after weird angles. Also flat out does not work with cable box.
Any ideas what's going on? I still need try my CD and DVD player. I'm baffled/
