This remote sounds pretty killer between the hardbuttons, RF, great software and reasonable LCD interface.

How would having lists of DVD's workout on this remote though? Right now I have about 35 pages (one for each letter, and multiple pages for the letters that I have a lot of DVD's for). On my pronto I just have lists of text selections (8 to a page) that work out quite well - for those of you with Pronto's and RTI's, check out: [Link: remotecentral.com]
to see what I mean.

I would guess the best you could do that seems practical would involve a max of about 12 characters per title with 6 titles per frame (page). So plan on abbreviating.

I would layout the index with 12 buttons on the index frame, such as A-B, C-D, etc. Each of those buttons would point you to the beginning of a 12-frame max run of 6 titles per frame, giving you 72 titles for A-B, another 72 for C-D, etc.

Navigation would be as follows:

Click 1: From the Home or DVD page you jump to the DVD index frame.

Click 2: Press [E-F] to jump to the top of the E-F list. You see the first 6 titles.

Clicking the => and <= arrows at the bottom of the LCD you can scroll through the 12 6-title frames in the E-F list.

Clicking the Main Menu hard button at any point would take you back to the Index where you could select another letter range.

The movement between frames is instantaneous, and creating and rearranging buttons is very fast and painless. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the detailed info!

Bit of a bummer though - doesn't sound like a setup that I would find satisfactory for DVD selection. Guess I will hold out and hope that Denon comes out with good software for the Aktis and that their cursor control becomes configurable.
