Has anyone traded in there old Philips pronto for the rti remote? Any one in this forum a old pronto user? Is it worth it, if your always looking for the newest and best? For $125.00 trade in, I am thinking about hopping on the rti bandwagon?

I wish they would except some other remotes as well. I have a drawer full..... (like a H/K Take Control or RC2000)....

I just placed with my order with etronixs for the RTI, they told me once they receive my pronto with the serial cable they will give me a credit on my charge card for $125.00 Not a bad deal at all! I also told them they need to work on a trade in program for old remote's too.

Tell me I'm wrong, but couldn't you sell these remotes for $200 ++ ?

My last post was confusing. I meant the Pronto's you're sending in for the measly $125... Send them to me instead and I'll give you $150!

lenbrook,
I have both a Pronto and now the T2. It's no contest. The Pronto is currently sitting on its charging cradle, where it has been ever since I got my T2 a month ago. I have had absolutely no desire to use it. But I'm keeping it as backup and for sentimental reasons :-).

I sold my Pronto and my HK Take control on Ebay and did a lot better than any trade in. Don't miss them a bit. What a great remote the T2 is!!

I am getting ready to do the tradein program myself. It seems to be a fair deal. Won't have a use for the pronto. At least there is a company that offer's such a service, but companies once you purchase a unit its yours for your life span.
