This forum has gotten real quiet lately. Is it because the T2 is so near perfect that nobody has any questions or remarks left?

I for one have decided that after spending the obscene price-tag for the T2 I have officially become a remote-geek. Especially since I am considering dropping the T2 for the RR969.....

I know, I know, I have gone positively insane. And I am sure I would go into a state of severe T2-post-partum depression, but I JUST CAN'T DEAL WITH THE MISSING TRANSPORT CONTROL BUTTONS. If it had these buttons, you'd have to pry the T2 from my cold dead fingers. I must be a freak.

Actually I don't miss the transport buttons as I use double duty on the cursor controls as substitutes, which works out for me. I'me very satisfied.

Cheers,

DJ

I was seriously considering a T2 myself after giving the Denon 8000 a trial run (didn't like it). Seems that there aren't too many places in my area that stock the unit so it's hard to get a hands-on demo. I have a Marantz RC2000MkII coming back to me on a warranty claim, and I think I'll stick with it and see what comes out after the 2001 CES, hopefully a Pronto with a color screen and RF capabilities. I really do think that the Marantz unit is one of the best remotes out there if you're a fan of hard buttons.

Yup, the Marantz is pretty darn good. I did not like the top-heavy aspect nor the hard-to-read LCD. But for the rest, the mkII is an awesome remote. I would certainly recommend it to hard-button fans (like myself).
