I have been reading with interest about the T2 and various comments comparing it to the Pronto. I am curious to know if the T2 has a timer capability to fire a macro at a given time? I have macros in my Pronto scheduled to fire off every evening to record the news for me if I'm not home. The macro will turn on the Dish500 sat receiver, the Onkyo HDDSP receiver, then switch the source from the 4DTV sat receiver to the DishNet in order for the TiVo to record the news. After it is finished it resets the source back to the 4DTV and then turns everything off. Does the T2 have this capability, or a workaround?

Unfortunately it doesn't look like it can. There's a time delay macro step, but only for a max of 9.9 secs, and no clock feature that I can discover.
Is there any way you can have two sources to Tivo that it could switch between?

I'm not sure I understand your question. I do have two sources to the TiVo. One is the Dish500 satellite receiver and the other is a 4DTV satellite receiver. I routinely watch one while recording from the other.
