We finally got our shipment of T2s, and more than a few customers have complained about how hard it is to get the ir learning function to work (yes, even with new batteries!). At first you think its just the usual, customer who cant or wont read the manual, but our own installers are finding that the T2s wont pick up the lighting remote codes from Casablanca or NEXTgen (even the customers crummy, kenwood learning remote that comes free with the reciever picked it up), another philips tv remote (brand new, 2 different sets of new batteries) would not pick up at all, yet an older magnavox (same codes) remote worked only sideways and 1/4" away! It looks poorly on us when a customer shows us a $39 remote from rad shak, that grabs the codes from 6" away, straight on, and were moving the T2 all over, sideways, down! The T2 looks better than the Niles (another popular remote we sell), and the touch screen is great, but cmon guys, you know it shouldnt be that hard to grab a signal! Eather sombody let us in on the secret, or lets all start uploading to that online library!!!!

I only had trouble with one remote... which required a very severe angle for the T2 to pick up. Now, I would have expected NO signal from the angle I had to use...
