O.K. Here is the dumb question of the week. I have an RTI T2 that I think is just about the perfect remote. However, the touchscreen surface itself has kind of a dull matte finish, almost like it has a protective film applied to it (like many products ship -- to be peeled off). It would be nicer if the screen was perfectly clear. Is this the way it is supposed to be, or is there a protective film that should be removed?

Nope, that's how it's supposed to be. I guess it is the material that adds the touch to the screen. If you angle it right, you can that the matte layer has the button grid in it.

It also helps hide fingerprints.
