My personal T2+ Humms when lit up. Its just loud enough to be annoying. I know I can send it in, just wondering if anyone else is seeing this. I have also heard it on a T1.
Today I did a T1 and the transformer hummed pretty loud. They were old and tone deaf, so I will just replace it later.

You are hearing the switching supply that supplies the voltage to feed the backlight. Normal operation. Some maybe a little louder than others but it's normal.
