I currently have the ability to program the Pronto
TSU-7000, URC-MX-3000, Crestron, and the Sonance
K2. I want more info on the complete pros and
cons of the latest T4 and K4 if any of you guys
have been using them yet. Are you using cat5 for
the transmission of video to the K4? Do you have
2 way rs232 with feedback? If I wanted to control
a Lighting sys 232(Lutron), an rs232 AVR processor,
rs232 Projector, rs232 Fireball, and an rs232
scaler along with a comcast IR box. Does the RP6
have the ability to do this all. I wanted to get
pricing too. Is AV@D the only dealer? Is there
anyplace on the East Coast near PA or NJ?
I want to basically try to control a room I would
have done with crestron, but this particular client
decided not to be able to afford at last min.
SO I wanted to know what this K4/T4 with RP6 and
optional equipment can do for me. What are the
limitations?
Thanx, BNC
T4 Not shipping yet, K4 will get wired with 2 cat5's and up to 4 RG 59 video cables...4 composite or 2 svideo inputs, 232 is 1 way with an RP6, up to 6 232 devices, drawback is when you use a port for 232 you lose an IR port..there are 6 ports, good thing is..you can add another RP6 for more ports or add a IR connecting block for more IR.
Advantage 1 is it works...We have had no RF issues were we had alot of RF issues with URC
Why not sell him a RTI remote and crestron proccessor?? RTI will run on Crestron RF gateways with the Crestron RF codes..A few people have the Crestron RF codes for RTI..Use a T3 inplace of a ST1550C
then that way you get the best of both...RTI remote and crestron control
AVAD is the only reseller to dealers
