just to let everyone know there is a glitch in the software from ver.1 to 1.1 it pertains to the ability to output infrared and rf at the same time if you e-mail mitch at rti he will e-mail you the "patch"

Wayne,
I am surprised that you still handle T2’s with ALL the problems that YOU have had. Aren’t you the one that said the software crashed your computer all the time, and that it would not learn ANY IR codes? Didn’t you also say that the library of codes was useless, and that YOU had a problem with range or something like that?
For a “dealer” having this many problems with a piece of gear, WHY do YOU still sell it? After all the bitch’n and complaining that YOU have done about this product, I just don’t understand!

Gee...just a simple thankyou for the lastest infomation would be nice, and if your going to quote me the library is the best thing about the software. It's a funny thing about eight dealers in my immediate are are having the same issues that I'm having, I'm obviously the most vocal. We have high hopes that distance issues, both ir and rf and be enhanced, better learning modules, enhancements to software, etc. can come about thru forums like this. This company used to manufacture Lexicon 500t and 700t products. Some of the best remotes in the business, comparing this new product to the old is at best a mixed bag. The new T2 is capable of more control than the Lexicon was designed for. A lot of us have spec'd this product into alot of jobs. Unfortunatly we are experiencing alot of problems in the field with this remote. RTI will be the first to tell you that they have sold about 1000 remotes so far, well alot are still on shelves and only a few are in the hands of system integrators let alone complete with the rf module that was just released. Just to let you know the rf module was designed for niles infrared emmitters and that the use of the industry standard Xantec emmitters has a problem that RTI is now supplying "o" rings to put on the ends of the Xantec emmitters so they seat better. When they upgraded to the new software version the "dropped a bit" to quote mitch from rti and as a result when in a macro that contains rf and infrared strings nothing would work. This wasted about 3 hours of our time trying to figure out what was wrong. When Mitch at RTI was contacted he confirmed there was problem and that he would e-mail us a "patch". We have not tried out the new version for that scenario yet. Stay tuned.

As dealers, we have very few alternatives and we actually like the T2 in theory. Why ar eyou giving Wayne shit SRV? If we as "dealers" didnt bitch and complain about these products they would just go away. They NEED as much input as possible. I myself have had the sam eissues as wayne and probably the rest of the dealers in america who use there remotes to the fullest and not the minimum, like you probably do. After all the complaining we have done, we have gotten NEW software, and more updated remotes and will still WAIT for it to become correct. It is forums like these which I have said many times before, should NOT be for consumer sever to see! We have always done this research and testing privately and looking at how this product has been trashed, I think it is time to go back to private R&D and when it is ready, show it for all to see and use.

HI all,
I just wanted to get on here and say something, after getting a couple of rude " don't pick on me in public" emails from someone ( Waynic1138) I would like to say that I am NOT SRV and if you would take a D*mn closer look you would see that. See, just because my screen name is STEVIERV, that doesn't make it magically become SRV or whatever this other persons name is. After WAYNIC1138's LAST whiny letter to me, I had to check out this website, and after quite some time on here, I am assuming that WAYNE is WAYNIC ( clever huh)
and he is upset with this SRV person, ok fine, I don't care at all. But, at LEAST know who you are B*tching to. I have NO CLUE what this is about, how WAYNE could confuse me with SRV, but I am p*ssed just the same. I got a rather smart *ss email from him giving me h*ll for supposedly cutting him down for his post. Well, I can understand his feelings about that and I would probably do the same if it was me BUT he didn't take the time to email the right person! OK WAYNE LAST TIME, I am STEVIERV, NOT SRV. GOt it? get off my back. and learn how to read screen names.

HI again,
I am back here to apologize for freaking out on Wayne. I understand his confusion about the screen names now. So, SRV, I don't know why you are using my screen name, but If you want, I can be a real b*tch about it. If you have to hide behind someone elses screen name after making an *ss out of yourself, then you aren't much of a man. I agree with Wayne, I don't understand your response to him, it was stupid to say the least. But don't hide, at least stand up for yourself. Geez.

Wayne,

Thanks a million for the tip! I was getting resigned to using only RF, although I was going to double-check eventually. This makes my week-end.

BTW, this forum is more entertaining than most soaps :-D

Daniel, it follows, as most soaps are about rich people (and the poor people who want to be rich) ...
