Hello - new to the forums.

Remote newbie

I wondered if any kind person can help me configure my ALL4ONE remote (URC 7140 - r02 ) to use this receiver?

I am afraid I have only got as far as trying the AMP codes in the all4one book, but they don't work.

I do not have the original cambridge audio remote

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks

keith

The URC7140 -R02 doesn't have a built in setup code for Azur 751R.  However, you can manually program the remote to send the correct IR signals by entering 5 digit EFCs.  If you prefer to avoid all the button presses, you could also return the remote to OneForAll customer support, and they will add the necessary info, or you could buy a USB to Serial cable for about $10, and upload an upgrade from your computer.

First assign setup code 2114 to the Audio device button.

The manual procedure (Key Magic) is given on page 3 of the Extra Features section of the manual:
1) Press Magic until the Blue LED blinks twice
2) Enter 994
3) Press and release Magic
4) Enter the 5 digit EFC
5) Press the button you want to use for the function
The blue LED should blink twice.

Thanks so much for the reply.

It is people like yourselves that make these forums.

I just about figured something by using one of your other replies about a cambridge audio receiver.

Having spent my life with tech, I am used to mutliple button pushes! :-)

USB to serial? - that's new to me - couldn't find anything about that on their site or the manual.

Once again , thanks for taking the time to reply

If you look inside the battery compartment of the 7140, you'll see a 2X3 pin header.  UEI (the actual maker of these remotes) provides this connector so that it is possible to communicate to the remote from a  computer; including uploading configuration changes and supporting entirely new IR protocols.   The JP1 community has over the years figured out how to interact with the remotes.  If you're interested see [Link: hifi-remote.com].

Oops!  I left out an important step.  Before assigning any EFCs, first assign setup code 2114 to the Audio (maybe called Amp) device button.
