I am looking for a multizone/multisource amp/controller and was looking at the Nuvo and Niles system but, ran across some Elan equipment that someone is selling because house is going into forecloser.

System is up and running good but I will need to add keypads, will I be able to program/setup Elan system without special programming tools. I would like to do all the programming myself if this is possible.

No, it's not. Then again, neither is Niles or Nuvo. These systems are not designed for DIYers to install and program themselves. With the exception of their basic models.

You could also look into the basic Russound system.

What are you calling their base models?
Would the Niles ZR6 and Nuvo's Essentia be considered there base system?
Also looking at Music Port by Nuvo. Would like to do myself.
