Hello Everyone!

We just started dealing with another distributor in our area and they are pushing a few lines on us that they say are excellent for equipment. So after spending some time on google and their websites, I decided to ask the people who know. Any information or feedback on these two lines would be great.

1. Integra
2. Boothroyd Stuart Meridian

Again, they look pretty decent but I haven't really heard much about them and I don't like putting trust in reviews I find online.

Thanks guys, have a great day!

We carry Integra here at my company and all of their products are very reliable and carry a good warranty as well. As you should know, Onkyo is Integra's parent company. That should tell you something there.

Meridian through distribution? Who is the distributor? Meridian's gear is not good. It is absolutely fan-freakin-tastic! Beyond excellent but, do not spec any until you understand the propietary/digital infrastructure. It is a whole different animal from anything else you're going to be used to. It's all relative but, I am not a big fan of Integra. It's good, but much like Onkyo, tends towards over bright, in my opinion. Hope that helps.

I know very little about the Integra line, but Meridian, in my opinion, makes some of the best equipment at any price range. The engineers behind the product are awesome and they know more about digital signals than anyone. The new Dolby Digital format is based on the MLP standards that Meridian developed.

If you have a chance to listen, have your reps bring up a demo system, it'll blow you away!

Integra is very good stuff.
I recently built a rack with Integra Research components.
The top of the line Integra components that are a purple color brushed aluminum.
I haven't heard it yet because the rack can't be pushed back into the equipment room.
The rack is so heavy that the wheels are pushing into the subfloor.
As soon as the finish floor is in, this theater will be rockin'.
Check out this photo of the rack.
The components are from top down, RDV-1.1 DVD/Super Audio CD player, RDC-7.1 AV Controller, 2 RDA-7.1 Seven Channel Amps at 124 pounds each, Signature Series Monster Power and Power Conditoner.

(the date on the pic is obviously bogus, my camera was new and not setup)
Not "Comfortably Broke" anymore just plain broke.

Hey thanks guys,

Yeah that rack setup is impressive looking. All the comments helped now just a little research and we should be ready to step it up a notch. Sounds good guys.

Enjoy the weekend.

Meridian....Great!!
Integra......Simple, easy to use. No fancy features or remote that will be replaced anyway. Excellent warranty!

Below is a link to Sound & Vision 2006, good review!

This got my attention also, I hate myself for selling my 568 a ways back.

And Meridian by distributor?????WTF?????

I think I know what dist. BB is refering to and they do not deal with the audio company but someone called Meridian that deals in HDMI extenders etc., just looked on their website.

And correct me if I am wrong, but Integra Research does not work through distribution either. At least in Colorado.

There's a distributor that starts with RJ that sells Meridian, but you have to be setup directly through Meridian. Basically they are more of an area rep. for them.

Hey guys,

Finally had a chance to check back into the post here. And yes, Meridian that the link is to deals with switchers.

Integra - http://www.integrahometheater.com/
Meridian - http://www.meridian-audio.com/

These links are directly off the website of brand listing.

Now from what I understand these are not open lines to any Joe who happens to call needing some plates and wire, but rather someone who is going to sell quota of the items. I seem to be in the process of being in between those two worlds and it's an odd place to be for sure. And for the distibutor's sake, I'll e-mail you the name Anthony, sorry for the delay.

Thanks Again Guys!
