Just installed a kenwood system includin a 309 receiver. I dont get any sound out of the center or surround speakers except during the start up test. I know it sounds stupid but I thought that you heard sound out of all the speakers all the time. I would really appreciate your comments.

You'll only hear sound off of the center & rear speakers if your source (TV, DVD, VHS) is in surround, and the receiver is set up properly to decode it. Many TV programs are in ProLogic, so ensure it's set up to decode that.
