I have been trying, and trying, and trying to get Direct Play to work correctly for me. I have the KP-53V80 Sony TV, and the DE-935 receiver. I have a mix of Sony S-Link, and non S-Link components. I thought I could have my TV switch to the port that had signal on it, but when you don't remove one of the signals first, at least this is what I think is happening, it does weird things. I appear to get it to work on DVD , but not Sat, then if I switch the source via the receiver, it still switches to a port automatically, but there is nothing on the port it switches to, the signal is actually on another port.
Could someone who has a firm understanding of Direct Play, please explain it to me. Sony is only good at reading from the book, and that's not very much good.
