I have a Hughes D4532 Platinum receiver (digital outputs) and DirectTV service. It is connected to my JVC RX-884 Dolby Digital receiver by an S-Video cable and a coaxial digital cable (no RCA audio connection). Whenever I tune in a channel broadcast in Dolby Digital and then switch back to a non-digital channel, the sound goes "mute" (the JVC receiver does not actually switch to mute mode). In order to get the sound to come back on, I have to switch off the digital setting on my JVC receiver and then switch it back on. Is anyone else having this problem with DirectTV or is the problem with my satellite and/or stereo receiver?

Kevin, Your receiver automatically locks onto a Dolby Digital signal but does not switch back to an analog signal alone... you must do it manually. Some receivers do have auto sensing and auto-switching back and forth... the easiest remedy is to have both analog and digital connections to your receiver...
