For my Sony VPL 600, I need a 15 pin D sub to 3 RCA (component video) cable. The projector can take both RGB or component video but only via its 15 pin VGA connector. Sony sell cable SMF-402 for this purpose are extremely expensive.

Any suggestions.

Salman.

Hi Salman

pick up the yellow pages , look up wire & cable- electric. You should be able to find a custom cable manufacturer. The should be able to make the cable for about 40.00 bucks. I used Custom Cable Industries in Tampa

their # is 813-623-2232

There are a number of people who can do it but lack the knowledge on pin out details. Everyone I spoke to wants to make a 15 pin to RGB which I do not need. The cable is also refered to as VGA/Video 3xRCA.

Spocko,

I FOUND IT; this must be the dummest thing I have done. The pinouts were right at the end b/f the french chapter. Somehow I always went to Specification page only and missed the Diagrams(next page) every time

Thanks a zillon.

Salman.
