I recently purchased a monster 2500 surge protector it doesnt have an on/off switch so i was wondering if i should always leave it on when im not even using my equipment. Will the l.e.d.'s burn out? Or should i just unplug it when im not using it?
Thanks for your advice.

Eric, I have the same surge protector. I also have a proffessional Furman PL-PLUS power conditioner that I have had for several years and never turned it off and it has 3 times the LEDs of the 2500 and they have never burned out. Plus if you have equipment with programed memories they could be erased when power is removed. I leave mine plugged in all the time.

LEDs rarely -- if ever -- burn out. Most of the components in your system *prefer* to have power all the time, so I'd leave it on. That's the whole point of a surge protector... to protect your equipment all the time!
