I am currently about to start purchasing my first home theater. I already have a list of products that I like and have already purchased some of them. But my question is what dvd player to buy. Are all progressive scan dvd players pretty much the same or are they worlds apart? Another question is what about 3:2 pulldown, if 3:2pulldown is the process of transferring film to video wouldnt all dvd players have to have it in order to display an image? Thanks for any feedback! This website is great I highly value all of your opinions!

Ah, you need to do some reading. Here is an incredible discussion of progressive scan and other video issues, with ratings of many players. Note that it doesn't rate audio much, or other issues, just video.
