Hi everyone,

I have a Sony DVP-CX985V 400 dvd changer that has a component video out on the back. My Sony TV has DVI input. I am looking for a converter that will take my component in form the DVD, and output a DVI signal to the tv. Any ideas of where to get this product? Is it worth doing as far as the picture quality? Anyone already done this and how did it work out? Thanks for any help

Mike

The DVD player is only outputting 480p so upconverting that will probably not make any difference in video quality. However, if you still want to give it a try my advice would be the Centerstage by FocusEnhancements www.focusinfo.com

Component is analog. DVI is digital. You need a black box to convert the format, then an upscaler or zoom feature in your TV to scale the image to fill the HD screen.
