I have a Yamaha RX-V630 AV receiver, and I use its remote to control the Yamaha receiver, my Sony DVD player, Sony VCR and TV. I just purchased a Toshiba 27AF44 27" TV. When I tried to program the Yamaha remote to control the new Toshiba TV, the remote can learn and control either the Sony DVD player or the Toshiba - but not both at the same time. The Yamaha remote did not have this problem with my previous TV (a 10 year old Hitachi TV).
I have searched the Yamaha web site for information, but I have not found anything.
Any thoughts as to why this is happening?
Or is it time to finally dish out the $$ for the Harmony 659 programmable remote?

I have a problem with the TV commands for an RX-V2400, and it occurred just too late today for me to call up my guy at Yamaha to get him to tell me the solution.
Please Send me an email with your model number in the subject line. Even better, help us help you by adding your email and your approximate location to your profile. While I have gotten spam over the years, I have no reason to think it ever came from having my email address at this site.

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything. "The biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place." -- G. “Bernie” Shaw |
