Oh yes the infamous white van in the parking lot.
I was approached just yesterday in Geneva Commons
Illionois while performing a work order for my
company. They showed me the magazine add and
the invoice also. They were also selling some
giant standing speakers to along with the home
system. I've seen these type before but never
get sucked in until today. Fortunately I only
paid $150 and went on about my business. It wasn't
until later that night I opened the box up and
was pleasntly suprised to see real equipment instead
of bricks. They do sound good, but we'll see hoe
long they last. We Live and Learn and I'm not
the only one dumb enough to fall for this scam.
But it sounds like a nationwide scam. How do
you apply? Where do they get the bullshit magazine?
I guess they are just professional bullshit artists.
Just don't lose the remote.

Keep the speakers, but I'll give you $200 for the van! Seriously, it blows my mind that people will spend money for ANY speaker without even HEARING them!

But he has apparently mastered the Quote & Reply feature. Looks like he might also be a perfect candidate for these speakers.

Old P.T. is ,I'm sure, rolling over( and laughing) in his grave shouting " I TOLD YOU SO!!!"
As long as we're into aphorisms....as Roddy and Marky et al would say " It's better to thought a fool than to open your mouth (or post) and prove it."
Where in the hell do these people come from and how do they manage to eat and stay alive?

I think they just did the deal of the century, decide either

a) go on internet and see if it is for real
b) go on internet and gloat to others that know these speakers about the price they paid

do a search on google and this thread is #1
come here, read a couple of the first few posts, realize they got swindled, get PO and in their anger log in and rant about it since they are here.

we come along read it think " how dumb must you be to publecize a dumb move that you should have known better" and have a chuckle until the next PO person that googles "theater logic L6" because they paid this great price on these speakers and pops up on this site

Or to paraphrase an old saying, let he who has never made a dumb move cast the first stone.

The scam is still going strong!. I'm pissed. I just got took for $320.00. What an idiot. Now I have to tell the wife. Same MO. Two cool a**holes in a van. They said there names were Chris and Gabriel. He said that he lived in Kemah and went to Sherlocks all the time. So is this equipment junk? What a bummer. I was scammed. I can't believe I was that gullable. I got what I deserved for trying to get a deal. #$%^&&

FIgured since their are two threads going for one subject I wanted to share my opinion in both:

You've got to love this. Two threads going about a bunch of stupid people. Sorry, no offense meant, but come on! Doesn't anyone think? Doesn't it seem funny that they just happen to be trying to unload 2 or 3k $ speakers for a couple hundred dollars? If nothing else you would think they were stolen or something right? Oh how humanity's slide into the deep dark bottom of the cess pool makes me sad...

I know 2 small business owners in my area that fell for this. I would hope at least they would have thought about the product being stolen or that these guys were trying to screw the company that they work for or SOMETHING...

But, when you squeak every little penny counts! (Such a tight A%S that it squeaks)
Why all the fighting and cussing? Can't Dave play nice? We're just here to learn and have fun. It was a harmless jab, laugh and get over it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW... S-E-A-R-C-H!!!
or do the work!!!

These still have a ways to go to catch the BDTs about remote codes. Those were a scream.

scammed: you most likely will never read this, but they are speakers and from what I heard they do work. The scam is that they are not worth anywhere near 2k$ and most likely no where near 300$

Spiky, even though I would classify these as BDTs (look at what is posted) I would say these guys are not as BD as those guys were. I am happy Daniel killed those awful threads, helped with cleaning up that forum. There was a bit of guilt in those threads because every so often the my first day guy would pop back in for help. At least with these guys you know it is all about the rant

BDT stood for Brain Dead Thread. it was coined because half the posts were from people who must have had their brain fried or something because from their posts it did not appear to be any left
