Hmmm the website says they're worth 3100.00. Could it be that we've all been wrong?

Choices, choices . . . The Theater Logic L6 for $3100 . . . or these (B&W MT-30) for a similar price. Damn, it's difficult.

12/01/2004 Hi everybody, I'm in Houston. I bought the same system (Theater Logic Home Cinema L6) today by the 2 young white guys who driving the truck like you all are talking about for $300. He showed the magazin with the price of $2500 for the same model. Also, they gave me the phone number from the store where I can verify the price. I actually call that number (and ofcourse it was a set up) I was told that the price for that system is $2500 too. I was too excited and bought it. After I got it home , I was so confused why it can only be operated by the remote control. I was wonder how I can use it if I lost the remote control. After looking around online to find more information about this product...now I know that they tricked me so damn good. I'd like to learn from all of your guys. Can I do anything when I still have the phone number they gave it to me (The person answered my phone and pretended as a shop's saleman must be their partners). In addition, I 've written down a driver license number of one of them (I don't know whether it is a real ID or not). I'd appreciate for any advice from anyone, so that there's not anyone else to be tricked like me! Thank you for all your advices

I think you guys are being a little harsh on the people who have been taken by these con artists. Believe it or not, there are still inocent people in this world that have faith in others. I too have been made a fool of. I bought a Theater Logic L8ti system from 2 men in a white van in Heath, OH for $200.00. I have never owned an intertainment system and thought that I was getting a good deal from some nice guys. The system seems very nice, but too bad I had to learn that not everyone in the world is good. Hopefully, someone else may learn from our mistakes before this happens to them.

Cathy: chances are that you won't read this. But let me ask you this. Why did you think you were getting a good price? stolen? extra inventory that got bought but never installed?.....
the problem is many people think they took advantage of the situation. Most here were probably looking to gloat, read the first post or two and realize that the good deal of 200$ for a 2000$ system is a bad deal of 200$ for a 40$ system. And then get PO.

And those of us that have been here a while find it entertaining to see all the fools part with their money. I was recently approached by these guys and I really beleive that you were trying to rip off the "man" and you got burned. Now you want revenge for being burned, but it is okay for you to rip someone else off.
Well most who have posted here, then we never hear back form them.

Well, you guys will like this.
I'm in Indiana, and i'm an audio/video enthusiast. My wife knows this, and my birthday was last month. The Theater-Tech-ScamMobile showed up near a local bank, and the 2 guys did their routine on the wife. She came home and me and my buddy were drinking beer and shootin pool. She was really excited to tell me about the deal she just got from these two guys in a silver F-250 pickup (not the usual white van). When she showed me the box, sure enough it was the Theater Logic L6. She paid $500. Me and my bud jumped in the truck and went looking for a silver F-250 with Texas plates. Amazingly, after a half hour or so, we found them near another bank parking lot.
We followed them to a mall on the north side of Indy, and we decided to become "customers." My buddy Mike went to the ATM, and I just sat outside the truck and smoked. Sure enough, the two dudes came by and tried to sell me the speakers. They had a Fed-Ex packing slip and everything. I said I was interested, but I wanted to exchange the money and merchandise behind the building. I waited on Mike to get back to the truck, and they should've known that something was up since we're both really big guys...and they follow us around back. Well, needless to say, they both were pulled out of the truck, it was quick, maybe 5 minutes, and we were out of there with exactly $500 (i'm not a thief), and there were two pretty unhappy little scamsters on the pavement.
So, if you see a silver F-250 around Indy, and one of the guys inside has a pretty messed up grill, and probably a busted jaw, don't buy speakers from them.

Alas I doubt there's much we can do from afar.
You might be able to get someone local to check them out, but I think it'll be a case of throwing good money after bad. I suggest you just accept that you've been had and save up for something decent.

djy, you were so friendly in that post Caught me at a good time. Was that guy from GB or something? White van man is alive and well over here, but I'm not so sure about Theater Logic speakers (we have enough rubbish of our own anyway). So no, I don't believe he is. I really couldn't understand a bloody thing he said... The likelihood is a setting or connection problem, but without any further information it's a waste of time speculating.

I'll tell ya, sounds like a lot of complaining when you haven't even hooked them up.....
They really aren't bad units, I give them away free to me customers and they love them. The company advertises them w/sky high retail prices to stimulate GREED but they really are OK systems. They sure beat the heck out of the stuff for $700.00 and So on in the big box stores. If you really want the professional sound then pay the price, (upwards to 6 grand) and impress yourself and your friends but it's a great alternative to high price units and they do a good job.
If you need a remote I'm sure that I can ask the manufacturer to send me some and I'll fix you up.... For my cost!!!! Shouldn't be more than a couple of dollars, I will arrange it so that they send it to you COD if you like and I'll tell you what the cost is before it comes..
Remember, anyone can overprice or try to steal extra money from you, (i/e car dealers and jewelry stores) but you can't really blame that on the speakers.... Hell we all thought that Enron was on the up and up, hahahaha.. They wore suits and drove Rolls' Royce's....................
Try the ones that you bought, I think that you will like them, I and my customers love em, (but they also got theirs free), thanks for listening to me, hope it helps you.
The average cost for a set of those wholesale is about $200.00 my cost........ So they didn't go and buy a new car with your money.
