I was driving from Sacremento to San Jose today and 2 guys in a silver Durango pulled the same crap with me, showed the magazine and everything although I didn't really care since I'm a pretty high-end audio person myself and had never heard of these and knew they were either stollen or a cheap sale. They had the Tower T2400 3-way's with sub and stated they we're $2400, I laughed and told them I'd give $50 each which they didn;t like and so I was driving away when they decided to take the $100. If they work and sound half-way decent, it's a good deal to me, since I purchased them for my Son and comparable sized and quality speakers would cost $200-$300 each, so over-all although this may be a scam, if you know what your looking at and/or doing you can get decent speakers for $100 or less as I have a feeling they would have taken $80 for the pair possibly.

Hello,

sorry, my english is not so well. I`m calling from Herne, Germany. Yesterday I met 2 guys, who`re just about my age 28. They offered me the L8ti Theater Logic Home Cinema on a parking place at Mc.Donalds. They told me the same story: there were two more systems which they had not have to sign for. It seems to be a very good deal. Oh man, how could I be so stupid. I really paid 650 EUR for this shit. They drove a white van, too. Yesterday I found the companys homepage, which offers the system for 2500$ like the magazine, they showed me before. They told me the system ist from USA and compareable to BOSE, which is the premium constructor for surround systems in Europe. The guys sound, like they came from Hamburg. They gave me a telephone number and it is real. I just tested it and it was the same voice, like yesterday? What should I do? I can`t inform the police, or? First it was my stupidness and second, it was not a legal deal.
Please help me.

Alas I doubt there's very much one can do. Think of it as a learning experience . . . don't buy anything (particularly out of the back of vans in a parking lots) without doing some research first. And talking of research . . .

BOSE may like to think they are the European premium constructor, but that's because they are a triumph of marketing over content. There's a myriad of manufacturers out there (including eastern Europe and China) that can supply products that are far, far better and at a fraction of the cost.

Ok, I thought I'd never fall for it, but I was at Home Depot, and two guys came up to me, and showed me these speakers. I must have went brain dead, because I forgot about this thread. They said they retailed for 2500.00, but that their boss didn't know about the set they had, and they had to get rid of them. I told them I'd give them 300.00 and they went for it. Now that I have them, I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to hook them up to anything. I feel so stupid. Can anyone help me figure these things out, or did I get ripped off?
