I am not having any luck programming a Bose Lifestyle 35 system with a URC-200 remote. I have followed all of the advice in previous posts (thank you all!), and can get the URC-200 to learn a button by placing it in front of the media center, but then when I try to use the URC-200 (after changing the IR setting on the Bose system to receive), it does not work. What an I doing wrong? Do I need the IR Emitter? Or is the URC-200 just not right for this? By the way URC said to try a prgram code (409) which the remote would not accept. Thanks in advance.

Another way of getting the commands into your urc-200, is getting ahold of a OFA urc-8910, they start at .99 cents on ebay. Call UEI the makers of the 8910 have them load upgrade codes into your 8910 through the phone. The codes to ask for are AUD 1355, 1356, & 1357. The 8910 will probably come in handy for your other gear, for descrete commands and so forth.

I believe to learn the codes, you need to set the LS35 for "send IR" and use the IR emitter placed in front of your learning remote.

The IR emitter didn't help. Was able to program it great using the 8910. Thanks Edmund.

Based on the responses I got soon after posting on these forums, I am happy to say that the URC 'One For All' 8910 did recognize the Bose LS-35 after a modem upgrade using the phone. The new code created is 1357. The ON/OFF, Volume, Mute are working fine! Right now this will do.

Thanks to the Forum members who responded to my question! :)
