I'm in the market for a HDTV set and was looking for opions on whose is best and where to buy for less. I'm leaning toward the Pioneer Elite line right now. Screen must be 16:9 ratio and 60" or larger. All I'm really going for here is image quality as audio will be produced thru the rest of my system. Known discrete codes for the set is a want but not required. Tell me what you think and know.........

In order to give decent reccomendations, one would need to know more about your room, and budget.

Personally, I am not a big fan of high-end RP TVs. I would much rather use a good front proj setup if possible. Of course, this also depends on the budget.

Provide more details, and I will try and come up with some reccommendations for you.

If poss, email me a drawing of your room layout, incl windows, doors, and unmovable objects. Also include where you plan to locate your system in the room - speakers, screen, and rack, as well as seating.

Not to be pushing this front proj, but if your home theater room is not going to be overly bright, take a look at the SONY VPL-VW10HT projector. It is a relatively inexpensive projector that can easily output a 60" screen. Although, Sony bulb replacements can get a bit costly.
