Does anyone know how to access the video inputs directly from a remote control on this TV? Currently, with the Toshiba remote you have to scroll through the options (Video1, Video2, Colorstream1, etc) with a single button.

I would like to program my Pronto to be able to access the input directly rather than scrolling through them... is this what is meant my 'discreet codes'? I see that phrase passed around a bit but didn't know what it meant.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You are correct. Those are called "discrete codes". Unfortunately, it is widely discussed and understood that Toshiba does not have any descrete codes for any of its products. The way most people get around this problem is to create macros to switch video inputs and theater modes. Although obvious problems occur if the TV is not in a constant state.

Bryan,

On a Toshiba TN50X81 I use the following Pronto macro sequence to select Video 1 - channel +, delay 1 second, TV/video.
