I have a Sony 1031 Video Projector with a DVD player attached to it and it seems that macrovision raises it's ugly head.

My feeling is that the projector enables macrovision because it was designed to be sold into commercial businesses that were not supposed to show videos to the public that are protected by copyright??? May be? Interesting theory.

But for my home theatre it is just a pain in the neck. Any one with some ideas on:

1. Why it is happening?
2. Is there anything I can do about it?
3. Settings on the 1031 to disable it?
4. Any other suggestions at all?

I had the same problem with a barco 708 data and a sony DVD7700 , my DVD dealer resolved the problem by the supression of the Macro vision function of the dvd !

(you must foud the solution to disable the macro vision for your DVD player ,may be on Internet , its not possible to resolve the problem on the video projector.

Michel - leaving in France ! good luck

Check smr-forums.com. You will need to search for threads containing Max Zorilla. Sells a box with composite and s-video in/out to remove macrovision. Works great! $79. HTH - Carl
