I have a modest home theater comprised of all
Sony components. 32"TV, Receiver, DVD, DBS, WebTV, (2) VCR's, 200 disk CD changer, and a Marantz RC-2000.

Yesterday I ordered a Sony RM-AV2000 from
Computability ($109.00)

Does anyone know how much memory this has?

Thanks David

1) why would you order the sony if you alrady had a much better remote, and second of the sony should be able to control 12 devices with 3 macros more then enough fo most home thaeters...

He doesn't specify, however he might have the RC2000 Mark 1 (which really isn't anywhere near as good as the Mark 2). However the Sony is more or less (depending on your viewpoint) similar or equal to the Sony... The AV2000 has more enough memory to handle my system (which has quite a few buttons learned) but of course your mileage may vary depending on how "long" the IR codes on your equipment are. Always try to use the built-in codes first if possible, and fill in holes.

I submit that saying the Marantz is a better remote than the Sony is an opinion not a fact. I owned the Marantz for a couple of weeks and I hated it! To me, and yes this is only my opinion, The RM-AV2000 is a much better remote.
