I could use a little advice from all of the a/v buffs out there. I just recently picked up a Sony STR-DE925 and now want to add a dvd player. My question, does Sony make a 5 disc carousel dvd player with built in DTS capabilities? Model number? If so, would those of you out there reccomend it? Thanks in advance.

I believe the Sony DVP-C650D will pass a DTS signal, however it will not decode a DTS signal like it will a Dolby Digital signal. But the DE925 already has DD & DTS decoders, so that's not needed.

Right, with the 925 all you need for DTS sound is a DTS DVD.

Matt, Check out Sony's DVP-CX850D at www.crutchfield.com. It's a 200 disc DVD/CD changer with DD decoder and DTS capable which will play through your 925. I previously purchased a single disc Sony DVD and wished I waited a little longer. Today I was at Tweeter's and came close to buying a 300 disc changer for the storage. That 850 sitting nearby kept calling me. Went home empty handed. Good luck. Happy New Year!

The CX850D is a good and unique product -- however changing discs can be slow. I'd be tempted to compare usability between the 650 and 850.
