Hi,
has anyone seen the new Sony Projector live, and how is the DRC System?

Carl, is that adress correct? Guido, I am looking forward to seeing the SONY projector also. Even
if I can't afford one right now it is always
good to see a product at this level as a benchmark

Guido,
I am an authorized Sony retailer and I have seen the projector last November. I can say that the unit is quite amazing. The 1st thing that you'll really notice is that it is VERY bright. It gives one heck of a picture, so this isn't a midnite-viewing-only projector. If you have seen the DRC in the XBR RPTV's, they give a pretty good representation. The picture is very smooth without any sight of visible scan lines. If you interested in some more info on the unit, please don't hesistate to email me.

John hi
I'm about to buy a projector for home-theater and was actually very impressed with the Toshiba TLP-650. How do you think it compares to the new Sony VW10HT ?
Is it worth the $1000 difference ?
Thanks,
Yizhar Ganor

Yizhar,
I will be honest and tell you that i have not seen the Toshiba unit (though i am an authorized dealer for them) so i cannot give you a fair judgement. I do know that the Sony will outweigh either the Sharp XVZ99U and the new Mitsu (forgot the model) something something 200. I do know that when it comes to video, I personally would go with Sony product over Toshiba. I am not putting down Toshiba, they make some amazing products, but i really do have a preference to the Sony unit. For it's price, you are looking at products ranging 1 1/2 to 3 times the price. So if you believe that the extra grand is a lot of money (which of course it is), think abut the bargain that you are getting in comparison to other manufacturers!!!! If you have any questions, please don't hesistate to email me!!!

Thanks,
John
