HI, I got this reciever along with a MISSION 77c2 center speaker and MISSION 773E speakers up front. Lucky for me, the DENON HQ is in Parsippany, NJ, which is 5 mins. from my house. Anyway, they have a warehouse sale every once and awhile, and last weekend I decided to upgrade my Pioneer Elite reciever, Boston Acoustics center channel and Sony "ST" line speakers. Ok...heres some of my concerns...

-After going throught the whole system setup, I am not satisfied with the volume of sound at a relatively high volume. In other words, when play "Tommorrow Never Dies" Through my Panasonic DVD player, which is hooked to the reciever by an optical cable, I have to crank the sound to the 0 to -10 range (it goes from -60 to +15) to get the volume which I got only 2/3 of the way up on my Pioneer Elite. I also have the same problem when i'm playing music. There's no problem with the sound quality, its the "quantity" of it that concerns me. The DENON guy told me to set the front speakers in "small mode" and use a powered sub. I am doing that with my Yamaha powered sub.

-my second gripe is that i HATE the DENON's remote. Is there anyway I can get a better remote?

Thanks in advance.
