2 more cents to add.
The 3500 and the 5000 allow for 12 volt DC triggering of the switched /timed outlets.
I also saw a visible difference in my cable reception when passed thru the 3500.
After having gotten the 3500, cause I couldn't get a 5000, I would like to get the 5000. The ability to assign each pair of outlets appeals to me.
I just wish there was an extra pair of outlets that you could assign filtration to.

[Link: monstercable.com] will get you to the 5000. Replace 5000 with 3500 and you will see that one. Anyone got an 800 number for Global Mart,their site is under construction.

I just ordered a Monster Cable 3500 from etronixs.com, they were cool with the price.
I hope that we can see a better picture and higher sound quality.

Cooltoff: the number is 800-758-8245, but the web site, www.globe-mart.com, is running. The 3500 is $275 and the 5000 is $370.
