I cannot get any audio outputs from my Amstrad Sky box's phono outs. I cannot find any routing settings in the on-screen stuff. Are they always on by default? If so do I assume my box is faulty?

Badger, I would approach the cable company with that opinion; "My box has the jacks, they don't work, gimme a box that works." Be sure, of course, that the same cables will play back another source using the same inputs first. Larry www.fineelectricco.com

Aha - Sky here in thew UK have a scam going whereby you BUY the digibox on signup, they give you a 1 year warranty, and after that you are on your own. There is no choice here in the UK, as we do not all have cable, depite living in central London. ....
This is satellite, BTW!

Have you tried unplugging the box and plugging it in again?
I know it sounds lame, but it fixes a lot of things on digiboxes!

Sorry chaps - turned out that the input on my amp was dead, and by having 1 metre arms and switching the input lo and behold the digi-audio appeared. Oops, and sorry!
