I have a Receiver with build in Decoder for Dolby Digital and DTS (Sony STR-DB930 ) and now I was interested to buy a DVD Player.
First I wanted to buy the Sony 725s, but Im hesitating. Then I have 2 Decoders, one in the player and one in the amp., where You can change the Parameters off the Speakers etc, etc.
So Im looking for the same quality DVD player, but without decoders.
Any suggestions ?
Wich Decoders are generaly the best, in the DVD players or in the AV/Receivers-amplifiers ??

First off The decoders in Recievers are almost always better than the ones in DVD players
Secondly you would be paying a hundred more dollars for an option you dont need ( the dolby digital Decoder).

If you are looking for a great dvd player with out decoders built inside i would Suggest the Following:

1. Toshiba SD-2109 = $ 250
2. Sony S-7700 = $ 750
3. Sony S-3300 = $ 350
