Hello Folks,
I have an RCA 61" PiP Projection TV. The model I have is a year before RCA started using the smooth screen protectors (built in. My question is this....
Can I buy a sheet of lexan cut to size and slide it inside my TV cabinet? My projection guns are currently out of the TV getting cleaned and serviced and I have full access to the internal cabinet so I can remove the trim that secures the frescnell lens assembly and I can fit the lexan in and reassemble.
RCA sells a "universal" screen protector for almost $300, I can buy the lexan for less than $30!
And to top it off, screen protectors all seem to be tinted somewhat. I don't want to darken the luminous output of the TV as I run at 6500K all the time.
Has anyone made thier own protector?
