My Denon AVR-5800 is a great piece but the manual STINKS! Anyone know anything about getting on-screen-display to output to a monitor while video source is playing? When I switch to a source that has an input signal (i.e.DVD), I loose all of my OSD data. Go to a source that is unused and all OSD's work fine. I want to setup a seperate LCD monitor on the table next to the couch to display OSD messages and setup info while the projector, connected to component output, is displaying the video (no OSD data comes out the component output). I don't have a number or email address for Denon and the salesman where I bought the 5800 just looks at me with a blank stare on their faces (color me surprised).
Thanks for any help and please excuse this post if it is inappropriate here.

I'm pretty sure that the osd only outputs from the s-video & possibly the composite. But not the component, don't ask me why. That is how the 3801 is so I'm sure it's the same as the 5800.

Yep, it says so in the manual. It may suck, but you still might try looking there.

I haven't seen ANY receiver from anybody that outputs OSD on component video.
