I am interested in purchasing a Clark transducer but would like some feedback from anyone with one or more. Do you have it in furniture or mounted to floor joist? How much power and what kind of power? When I had my house built I oversized the floor joist in the theater area so the floor wouldn'd move.I was thinking the floor joist to keep it out of my wifes view(what she dosen't see wont hurt),does this give good results or should it be in the furniture?

I am also interested in one of the Clark units which I would mount under the floor - one of the things slowing me up is that I can't find a better price than at SmartHome and the other is that the amp that they sell is $300 which seems like a lot just to supply power to shake the floor - especially since my Sony receiever did not cost much more..

If I get any smarter on this, I will let you know..

Cheers, Jim.

Hi Billy,

Do you remember the part number? - I recall a high priced one and a lower priced one from the Smarthome catalog.

Also, what are you using for an amp?

Cheers, Jim.

jim ,there are 3 models 300, 500 and 650 $ mine is the 500$ model. i am using an older 55watt jvc amp turned up about half way. i think mounting it under the couch is the way to go but i wont know till i try it. on dvds with action it is really better. rgh makes cheaper models. theres a good website on bass but i forget address. search for bass transducers and youll get it.
