I have been attempting to get hold of an AV2000 over here in the UK for ages. I had almost given up when I came across one yesterday (price over US$300!!!!), however it appears that they are branded PAL only over here and NTSC only in the US. Why???? Surely the remote has zero bearing on the TV system - if anyone can allay my fears I will get one when I'm in the States next month otherwise I will just remain a scared Brit!!! PS Sony have a (very slightly) different name for it in Europe - AV2000T. I have tried Sony but they have stated (surprise, surprise) that only a UK model will work in the UK!!
Many Thanks, Mike

This has been covered several times, but from what users have said it appears to only be different labels on buttons (Teletext, 16:9, etc.).

I have recently purchased a Sony RM-AV2000 from New York thanks to Susie B and i have no problems using it here in the UK some labels are different but apart from that works well. As the default settings are for guess what... Sony products my Sony TV & DVD player worked straight out of the box brilliant product 10/10.
