My bedroom setup contains a JVC TV, Roku XD & a Vizio VSB200 sound bar. After fumbling around with 3 remotes for some time now, I finally decided to pick up a universal. Reading around about how difficult it is to have manufacturers include codes for Roku players, I went with the Sony RM-VLZ620 being that it's a learning remote and figured I'd be in the clear.

After unpacking the remote, the JVC TV worked flawlessly with the code, the Roku remote taught the Sony perfectly fine, but I'm having trouble getting the Vizio soundbar to function with the VLZ620 universal remote.

I go through the teaching process, and the Sony remote behaves like it's learning all of the functions without any problems. But then, trying to use the Sony to control the soundbar, it doesn't work at all. It's like it's learning a code, but not the right one, because I can point the Vizio remote and the soundbar picks up the signal perfectly, and I can teach the Sony and it appears to be learning perfectly, but no control at all. I've tried using the AMP and the CD device - but I assumed the device really doesn't make a difference since it's just picking up a code from whatever's sending it a signal and assigning it to a button on whatever device is chosen...

I can't seem to find anything at all online about this, anyone have any idea what might be going on here?
