Please help, I bought a used Sony Rm-av2500 remote and im trying to reset it to factory settings or atleast learn my controls over the old ones. It will not let me do anything... When i press command off and component select it beeps twice. When i press and hold the LIGHT button and press a component select button absolutely nothing happens, the light just dims out. when i press the LIGHT button and any other button, nothing happens. When i press command + muting andthen i press a component it beeps twice and wont let me do anything.
Please if anyone can help me with this problem it will be much appreciated. I just want to get the remote back to factory so i can input my components and learn new component functions. thank you

I also tried thd reset in which you take out the batteries, hold the channel - and volume - and then put the batteries back in and nothing happened
