I use the System Controls to do a variety of things, power components, etc. I recently got a new LG LCD TV (37LD450) - it has two HDMI inputs. I'm using both - one to drive a Verizon Fios and another to drive an LG Blu-Ray player (BD570). I can switch all sorts of things but I don't know how to switch the input between the different TV HDMI inputs.

If I use either the Sony or LG remote & hit the Input button, all of the options pop up, HDMI 1, HDMI 2, TV, Component, etc. I can switch between them but I'd rather have the selection programmed so when I hit one of the System Control buttons, the appropriate HDMI input is selected (as well as the other individual components).

Anyone have any ideas? Knocking my head against the wall....

If this isn't a possibility on the original remote, then there isn't really a way to do it on the VL610, at least not without some other remote to learn alternate [discrete] codes from.

We just upgraded from a Toshiba rear projection to a Vizio VO37OM and I am having the same issue with our new VLZ620. The Toshiba's input were labeled 1-8, so I was able to program a macro to select the correct input device in the sequence. Since the Vizio inputs are not labeled, I have not been able to get the 620 to select an input, partly due to the very slow boot up of the LCD. Since this will not end up being our main TV, I am hoping to find a reasonably LCD that will allow the input device to be programmed.
