Not sure why but I cant seem to work out how to use the change disc feature for the 5 Changer DVD player (Sony DVP-NC600) with the RM-AV3000.

It seems to either select scenes from the currently active disc or if the DVD is on the menu section, choose an option from there

Any input greatly appreciated.

Thx,
Al

Can you perform this operation using the original remote? I have looked through the manual and couldn't find any procedure for using the remote, only the procedure for selecting disc 1-5 on the player.

If you can do it with the original remote, you should be able to learn any of the needed keys if they are not already preprogrammed. If you can't do it with the original remote then you won't be able to do it with the 3000.

I cannot find a discrete code in this listing, so it may not be available as a remote controlled operation. [Link: hifi-remote.com]

I have a DVP-NC650V, there's a "Disk Skip" button on the original remote (just above the |<< button, confirmed in your manual). You'll need to learn that to the RM-AV3000.

There are also discrete codes for disc 1 through 5, but those aren't on your remote.

Thanks for the quick reply. I do see a 'Disc' feature on the RM remote which in the manual claims to be a function to change discs (page92), but cant figure out how to use it apart from selecting scenes on the active disc.

I was hoping that programming it would be a last resort but at least you confirmed that I'm not going mad!

Thanks again.

Can't imagine why it would select scenes. The "real" Disc button just advances to the next disc.
