My main problem is that my TV has been autoprogrammed, and I've moved. So, the autoprogrammed channels have static, and I have to keep hitting [#][#][ENT] to change channels (through 40 cable stations). I heard a rumor that you can hit a series of buttons to reset the autoprogrammed channels on the TV set. Is this true, or BS? Is there any way to add/remove channels using this remote? If not, is anyone sure of a remote that will?

Thank you!

With the V402, whatever's mapped using the preset code, is it. If you had a one-for-all or certain radio shack remotes, they accept advanced codes. These are 3-digit codes for individual functions.

Thanks for your help. I'll get one of those instead. I kinda find it amazing that Sony's universal remote can't freaking do it, though. Ok, well, not amazing per se, more like annoying.

Thanks Again....

You just use the remote to invoke Menu and then use the remote's arrows to follow the TV's menu function. Resetting the autoprogramming and adding/deleting individual channels are both available in the TV's Menu as two separate items. These are functions of the TV and not the remote.

Autoprogram first. Then...

When you are trying to add and delete individual channels, you can use the CH+ / CH- to navigate the channels and VOL+ / VOL- to add / remove the channel currently selected.
