I'm thinking of buying the RM-AV3100, but I'm wondering if there are standard codes inside for Sony projectors for example the VPL-EX1. In all the RM-AV3100 brochures it does not mention anything about supporting Sony projectors. It does mention it supports dozens of TV/VCR/Sat.... My remote of my projector was stolen, so I can't learn the new remote with the codes from the projector. I can buy a new one, but that's just as expensive as a RM-AV3100, so I thought that's even better if it works...
Thanks in advance!

Here is a reply I made several months ago about projector codes, and I think it also applies to the 3100. If there have been any recent developments, I am sure someone will update this reply. [Link: remotecentral.com]

To be honest, your best bet may be a computer programmable remote where you can download the codes you need for your projector - Pronto, Harmony, MX-700, etc.
