I have changed the preset on the AV3100 "lighting" button to 2005 which is supposed to be x10. I can shut units off with the AV3100 by pressing the unit number key and then "OFF" on the display.

My problem is where is the "ON" key? It is not shown on the display.

Thanks in advance for your response to my rather dopey question.

No. Only between 3000-3000 or 3100-3100.
