Need to know if there is a code for an SIS-S4040R that would work on an Sony RM-Y195 remote control. Tried 020 without success. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ae there any DVR codes listed for philips or Hughes? Give them a try.

1 listed for Hughes. None for Phillips. hughes one didn't work.

You're trying SAT codes, as you found out, Hughes SAT code isn't the same as Hughes PVR code. Dtivos under such brands as philips, hughes, rca, and samsung ALL use the same codeset. philips & hughes being the oldest, so are the likest to be found in a universal remote.

So i should look for and try any code for a PVR or DVR not a SAT code. Any idea as to what the 3 digit codes would be for such models or where i could find them ?

there aren't any listed on the TV remote that i'm trying to use to control the DVR. so no luck there. oh well worth a try. thanks for the info.
